A Model Fiancé edition by Nikky Kaye Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
- I just finished reading this book and I must say it was so good! This is my first time reading from this author and she did awesome job on the characters and the plot. Her writing was great and it flows throughout the story. Great work Nikky Kaye!
- Dev and Audrey were a little boring.
They traveled the world but were still boring. Not sure I would want to read more. - "There is nothing make-believe about what I want to do to you."
Dev Sharpe is a male model and social media sensation. Audrey Carlin was always his best friend's pesky little sister, until she turned 16 and she was suddenly forbidden fruit. He rarely saw her again for another five or so years, and by then he was single and so was she. When an accidental moment turns viral and Dev is offered the contract of his dreams, he puts a proposal to Audrey to help him out.
"He was the kind of "super nuclear hotness" that made you feel better about yourself instead of inferior."
Audrey crushed on Dev when she was a kid. When they meet again, there's no denying the sizzling chemistry between them. She's just coming back from a failed relationship and is currently in limbo. When an opportunity to kick back and travel presents itself - in the company of her brother's gorgeous best friend - she decides to do it. However, what starts out as as a fake arrangement slowly starts to blur as real feelings get involved.
"I want to be the only man in your head, heart, and body."
Overall, I really enjoyed this story. Dev and Audrey were clearly amazing together. Their relationship started off in a very nontraditional manner but they fit just right. I loved the banter between them and their attraction was scorching.
The reason it's not five stars is because I couldn't quite pin down Dev's character. He obviously wanted Audrey and more than a fling with her but, at the same time, wasn't ready to commit fully. I felt there were insights into his thoughts that were missing. For me, his feelings seemed to seesaw. Furthermore, his feelings and his actions didn't always match.
Nonetheless, still a fab read with great chemistry, amusing banter, and beautiful exotic backdrops to the story. - A Model Fiance is the latest release by Ms. Nikki Kaye. Being familiar with her work, you would expect a steamy, sexy romance with depth and while it is all of those things I lack the words to express just how amazing this book truly is. I was beyond impressed with the writing style and the creativity that Ms. Kaye has put into this impeccable storyline and I actually began recommending it to my friends before I was ever even done reading it. The two main characters were crafted in such a way; you feel as if you 'know' them. As a reader, I can appreciate the talent that takes for an Author to be able to draw you in from page 1 and keep you thoroughly engrossed all the way through until the end. Yes, it is the best friend's little sister romance, however, you know what they say about the forbidden... it makes the fruit taste all the more sweeter. I try extremely hard never to give away any part of the plot and with that said; all that's left for me to say is that should you be in the market for a compelling romance book, Ms. Kaye has certainly delivered.
Audrey Carlin has always had a crush on her brother's best friend, Dev Sharpe. You know the type... Older, gorgeous and off limits. Now as a professional model, the feelings she has for Dev come back full throttle. After a mistake is broadcasted to his, fanbase, she is now his new fake fiance. How do you turn off real feelings to play pretend? Better yet, is it possible when what he feels for her is real? I encourage all romance readers to follow along as Audrey and Dev work hard to get their happily ever after. This book is an emotional rollercoaster of goodness that will certainly touch your heart, as it did mine. Perfection.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy of A Model Fiance in exchange for my honest opinion and I loved everything about this publication. I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Kaye. - This is not your typical brothers best friend type of read!
Audrey might be young, but she definitely does not act like it. Her parents died when she was in HS and even though her brother stepped up to take care of her, she had to grow up fast. Now in present day she is reeling from the break up with her fiance which not only hurt, but hurt because she feels as if it was her fault and this has left her a little broken.
Dev is absolutely the definitely of a sexy older brother's best friend. Not only that, but he is a legit model to top it off! He himself had been burned in the past as well due to an ex. He has not even seen Audrey in years and is being crashed into it.
You can tell from the beginning that this is going to be a crazy roller coaster ride so that all you can do is strap yourself in to read it. Audrey and Dev accidentally get themselves in a predicament in which all of his followers believe that they are engaged. Not only that, but this also helped entice a HUGE contract for Drew in which the company owners are extremely family oriented.
This story is complicated, sweet, hot, awkward, random, and absolutely amazing. Nothing moved too fast or too slow and showed just the right situations in between.
