"I am an older woman getting close to 60 years old whose eyes just can't read the smaller print in other bibles. I received the bible in great shape, the order was on time and so far I am very satisfied with it. I like the size of the font, 10.5, which is not small but not gigantic either. This bible is a bit bigger than the average bible and has silver on the outside of the pages. My only small concern is that the pages are a bit thin and one should be careful when turning pages. I've used a regular ink pen to mark several passages and there is hardly any bleed through on the page. I don't think it would be good to use regular highlighters or gel pens. All in all I like the bible and hope to get many years of use out of it."

- These bibles arrived and are gifts for some High School Graduates. Here are my immediate observations
POSITIVES
- Imitation leather feels nice
- The font size is PERFECT.
- The pages are quality material and not too thin.
NEGATIVES
- I didn't see in the description that there was a decorative border on the front cover. Not the end of the world, but would have been nice to know. Maybe I missed that part.
- The actual color of the bible is quite a bit duller and deeper brown than the packaging image suggests.
- While I know I should have known this given the dimensions that were provided, the bible is a tad bigger than I was imagining.
All in all, I am excited to give them to my students. I hope the pictures I have provided will give you an accurate representation of the product. I provided a side by side image with a different Zondervan bible for reference on size and font difference. The one pictured is the Zondervan NIV Thinline Compact Bible. - GREAT Bible! Highlighters (with light normal pressure) do not bleed through, do not smear text. Print is large and very easy to read. References at the bottom of the pages so they don't cause distraction. Great size too!
- This is a book is written by Rick Warren that gives you false hope in your salvation. No where in this book does Rick talk about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. If Jesus had not risen from the dead then He would be no different than the others who claim to be god. John 146 Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life and no one comes to the Father except thru Me.
- Reading this was a life changer for me. Helped me get through a very challenging time as well as strengthen my faith. Extremely easy to read (like a novel), no esoteric language or terminology - just like having a conversation. I took the approach of reading a chapter a day (~10 min) to not overwhelm myself and maintain focus. Rick Warren explains things in such a clear way that I wish this book existed when I was younger.
- I won't give away any of the 40 day lessons, but I will say it's a great bible study and bonding experience and unravels many of the mysteries that hold us back from feeling joy, from being able to sustain meaningful relationships ... it's a great guide to embracing our purpose, feeling God's love and making meaningful connections. I mentioned this book in my women's ABF (a large group) and the majority were nodding their heads and singing it's praises. It's a great book for mentoring people new to the faith.
- This book is very uplifting and thought provoking. Used in a teens class and nice to have just a few pages to read each day. I do disagree with a few things mentioned but feel like the encouragement and focus made the book worth a study. In fact, hearing other views than mine on certain beliefs caused me to study more on those topics. He does mention and I noticed early on that Mr. Warren uses some very liberal versions of the Bible from which he quotes. Some quotes when looked up weren̢۪t at all what the scripture said. Some of the quotes were a real reach to fit his view. That̢۪s why God expects us to study for ourselves!

- I joined a Bible study group recently and was looking for a Bible that I could carry around easily with me, especially since I'm also toting around a 10 month old. I love the look and feel of this Bible. The "leather" is soft and flexible, but yet sturdy so I know it won't wear and/or tear. It is lighter than the standard hardcover Bible and fits easily into my purse. The text size is just fine for my eyes and easy to read and I'm glad that the text is all black (having portions of it be red messes with my eyes anf distracts me). The pages are thin, but the majority of Bibles, it not all, are similar to it...and should be expected if you're looking for a lighter weight. Overall, I'm very happy with this purchase.
